.... and so it proved.
A decent start saw Dom Smallman pull off several good saves which continues right though the game.
Rob Nichols, majestic as ever in Defence, continued to create breaks for us but we faced a team with youth on its side and, I suspect, a few of their lads who may usually run out in their A.
Never fully in the game the effervescent Glenn Bowker continued to frustrate their defence with a couple of cracking goals and assists.
We'll need to stop pulling hamstrings if we're to rally in this league so a few pints and a hot bath may see us field enough numbers next week to notch up another win.
Well done to the 5 injured players, or was it 6?, who turned up to watch today too - we have the numbers.. we just need them on the pitch!
