When all bar 1 of your attack line is ill or injured you're up against it from the start although, over the 4 quarters, Mellor generally controlled the game although it felt, for long periods, to be a training game for both clubs
Under pressure for large portions of the game our defence were excellent again capped with a man of the match performance from Robbie Wilson who played superbly alongside Noah, James and the mighty Fredrick.
With our options limited we played well within ourselves for long periods and never really chased the game. The goals game with Drew putting in a work horse performance and Josh having to drop deeper to get involved. We lacked our usual fast paced attacking game but this fixture saw Theo, Ellis and Harry making their first appearances of the season.
Jamie, alongside Will as LSM, largely controlled the game with support from Jack and Sam. Cheadle and Norbury aren't quite up to full strength and both clubs will aim to improve when they meet again but, for now, a decent enough performance on a pretty miserable day
