2 good competitive teams on show today and for 3/4's of the game it was very even with a 4-4 half time score and Stellor edging it 6-5 as we neared the end of the 3rd qtr.
However, that was as good as it got as the away side upped their game in the final qtr and were clinical in taking advantage of our wayward passing and distribution from the back, constant turnovers and the inevitable man downs that followed from too little posession. Our defence, which had been solid for most of the game, started to give too much time and space to players who will punish teams at this level as we conceded 6 on the bounce to lose 6-11. Whilst in attack it was a mixture of poor shot choices from distance and failing to hit the target when we should have done that meant we rarely troubled their keeper in the final quarter.
If we can put it together for 60 minutes next time then who knows?
