In the wind and rain Mellor under 14s lost out 16-15 to Stockport Lacrosse Club. The team had been ravaged by injury and illness so the coach has limited option and no substitutes!

Mellor started well going one nil up but Stockport started to get back into the game; and with their number 31 dominating midfield we found ourselves four two down after the first quarter. The team rallied in the second quarter (maybe due to the fact the groundsman attended to the soggy patches around the pitch) and we went in at half time leading eight seven.

The last half belonged to Stockport with the number 31 running though midfield on a number of occasions. In the last quarter we battled hard but couldn't peg back a deceit of two goals from the third quarter to end the boys winning streak!
