We won...........we won big!!! That should really do it, but as it's a slow roasted pork I am cooking, I
suppose I have time to expand a little.

A more one sided game we are unlikely to see again anytime soon?!? As it was a
cup game against Timperley B we welcomed George, Will, Jamie and Josh back into
the fold. This was a great opportunity to see our entire U12's team play
together.

To be fair to our opponents they played to the end with a great spirit and never allowed
their heads to drop. The fact that the biggest cheer of the day came from the
Mellor supporters after Timperley finally scored in the last minute says it all!

So it wasn't really a game, but congratulations to the team all the same. The
defence reduced Timperley to just 3 shots on target all match. As for the
scoring, goals split Finn 4, Miles 3, Jamie 10, Noah 2, Eddie 4, George 3, Ellis 3 (his first hat-trick
despite the trauma of his parents forgetting his top) Josh 6 and Jack 2, it's
fair to say the gap could even have been bigger. Apologies if I got this wrong,
it all got a bit difficult to keep count......not helped by the fact the goals
were going in that thick and fast I was struggling to eat my bacon barm, that
and the distractions caused by Stu's drawing on the official match report sheet,
see me after class Mr Booy!

In summary, back to the start, we won.....we won big!!! We will not get many
easier games, it was nice to have all the U12's together, the cup squad will be
facing a much tougher tie in the semi finals next year!

Right time now to make an apple sauce!
