With players unavailable this was a good step up for our younger players. Despite falling behind in the 1st minute we finished Q1 with a slender 4 – 2 lead. 2 early Timperley goals in the 2nd quarter saw the score at 4 – 4 before the boys started to link up better. Reaching the end of Q3 with a 15 – 5 lead we seemed to step off the pace in the final stages but ran out 17 – 8 winners.
Great to see some strong performances in our young midfield as well as a sterling performance by Robbie in defence. A great debut for James Smith today too and a great first goal to cap it off.
