Mellor got off to another quick fire start to the match with a Tom hat trick following great link up play in attack with Sam and George. Mellor were made to work harder in this game than the first but were able to extend their lead to 5-0 at half time. As the game went on both Jamie and Jack were finding good space in attack and both finished off good passing moves, deservedly scoring 2 goals apiece. Sheffield never gave up and were rewarded with a couple of goals for their efforts. As the game wore on Mellor extended their lead with Sam scoring a brace and George to win 11-2. Credit to the defence who worked hard as a team to close the opposition down and limit their chances, although there were occasional problems picking up ground balls. Overall, a committed team performance, occasional lapses in concentration (from all of the team) but with excellent team passing play which will hopefully continue as the season progresses.
