A frosty start to what turned out to be a familiar performance by mellor.
The game started with attacking play from both sides,Mersey sneaked a cheaky goal but this was quickly forgotten by an onslaught of rapid goals by mellor to end the quarter 5-1.
The second quarter saw mellor grow in confidence and carry on the furious attack of the Mersey goal, the quarter ended 13-1 this score would have been greater but some brave and remarkable saving by the Mersey keeper kept many goals out.
The third quarter saw mellor ease off the offensive to work on their game play and bring some of the younger and slightly less experienced players to show what they could do. Being set up by the formidable mellor midfield they had a barrage of shots at the Mersey goal, unfortunately they found it hard to the beat the Mersey keeper. The quarter ended 15-1.
The fourth quarter saw a change in position for most players this proved to be both interesting and entertaining, a great defensive turn over by Drew and some wayward shooting by defenders saw the game end 17-1.

Unfortunately will wasn't required to make any great saves, just another solid performance in goal.
