The second game Mellor had started to get into their stride. Within no time Mellor led 2-0 following fantastic passing play by Olivia H who scored with an assist from Leia Y. Olivia H then returned the favour enabling Leia to score. Eve B was pivotal in the centre, winning the ball for Mellor in the face off and fighting hard (with Olivia D and Milly H) for ground balls. One pass from Eve B to Olivia D was forwarded to Milly H for another Mellor goal. Gracie (borrowed Norbury player) added a little more experience to the team and scored Mellor's fourth goal and assisted Eve to make a fifth. In defence Katie M and Jasmine R took turns in goal supported by some good defending by Alice T and Olivia H who brought the final score to 6-2 with a penalty goal.

It was a great effort by the girls. They really played as a team and demonstrated some really promising passing play, well executed checks and strong runs up the field. The way they played today bodes well for the future!
