Team Captains Alex (for Non Bibs the ' Longhursts')and Jess (Bibs the 'Old Knows') coached their team, warmed them up and decided their positions. Both girls looked determined to win.
Non Bibs went into a quick 2 0 lead starting with an excellent goal from Emily. However their lead could not be maintained and at full time score was a level 3 all. Goals from bibs Holly 1, Lyd 1 and Jess1, and non Bibs Miranda 1 and Aoifa 1.
Golden goal rule had to prevail as our time on pitch was coming to an end. A free shot awarded to Jess after a trip from Charlotte meant Bibs won 4 3.
A very fine performance from our u12's Emily K, Mattie, Harley and Miranda.
Man of the Match went to Harley for her continued persistence, courage against some rough older girls and excellent passing.
Non Bibs can redeem themselves at the 'real' game which will be held at Mellor Lacrosse Club on 22 April. details to follow.
