With the first couple of weekends of the season behind us, here's what we've been up to.

The Junior boys have made an excellent start to the season and have yet to suffer a defeat. Player numbers are strong thanks to the success of everyone involved in the Sunday morning training. If you haven’t been down to the club on a Sunday, call in for a coffee and witness the throngs of kids in action.

The U11’s team played Timperley last weekend with only 4 of our girls who had ever played a match before, the rest of the team were made up of the young Year 4’s. We lost but under newly appointed coach Nev we’re confident that they are going to progress quickly.

U13’s came out of the blocks with a confident start beating Heaton Mersey in their first game. The promise that this team showed last year has delivered and they demonstrated some great handling skills and Teamwork.

U15’s are still waiting for their first game. Clearly desperate to get started they turned up for extra practice Sunday morning – thanks Lisa for running this.

U18’s had a tough opener against Timperley but with good numbers in the squad they are sure to turn this around in the coming weeks.

The Women, who’s league is undergoing a restructure, started their season with a triangular fixture against Sheffield and Leeds, coming out with seemingly easy 11-1 and 10-1 win’s. We’re delighted to welcome coach Jamie Nicholson to their squad and look forward to seeing what this team will do this year.

It appears the Senior Men’s Premiership is going to be about the skill level of the other team’s newly recruited American University players and as such our team of home grown players have got a fight on their hands.

One of the biggest success of the season so far is the A & B Teams, welcoming the latest additions from last year’s U16 team, all have slotted in the teams brilliantly, Miles coming away with MOM on the A and Cameron on the B and then the A! (watch out 1st team...).
