The England Lacrosse Association (ELA)
The England Lacrosse Association is the national governing body for lacrosse in England. Its website contains a great deal of useful information about lacrosse in the UK, including news, events, details of coaching and umpiring courses, fixtures, rules of the game and so forth.
World Lacrosse
World Lacrosse evolved in 2019 from the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL), itself established in August 2008 in a merger of both the men’s and women’s international lacrosse associations. World Lacrosse is the international governing body for men’s and women’s lacrosse.
US Lacrosse
US Lacrosse is the national governing body for lacrosse in US and has been leading the way in helping to make lacrosse an Olympic Sport. In 2013, lacrosse was included in the International World Games for the first time, which is an important stepping stone on the way to becoming an Olympic Sport.
North of England Men's Lacrosse Association (NEMLA)
Northern clubs are governed by the North of England Men's Lacrosse Association (NEMLA), which was formed in 1897 when 10 clubs began playing regular fixtures. NEMLA now comprises a Premiership and four further senior divisions.
Junior Girls North League (JGNL)
The Junior Girls North League (JGNL) is body of volunteers who oversee clubs and schools who play throughout the North Region, including the league that the Junior Girls teams participate in.
